Welcome to my dumping ground for my biggest interest of the past 10 years.
This video,Top 13 Hatsune Miku Songs was my first introduction to Vocaloid. (I do not know how to make links appear like the rest of the text yet...) I would listen to that video over and over again. At some point I discovered googoo888 and that's where I discovered a lot more known songs, such as Secret Police, World is Mine, Luka Luka Night Fever, Butterfly on My(Your) Right Shoulder, Cendrillon, etc. Before I left home for school, or left school for home, I'd pre-watch a song in my browser and listen to it over and over on the bus while YouTube still allowed one to do that and listen with the screen off. My favourite song at this time was Let's Go To Heaven by Kikuo.
About a year in, I discovered GHOST. Now this was a gamechanger. Edgy English vocaloid songs for the kid who just discovered what being emo was? Sign me the hell up. I was particularly obsessed with Amygdala's Ragdoll, Hyperdontia, and Star of the Show. I look back on those Communications-era songs very fondly. (Communications was a song series by GHOST that eventually was discontinued that I quite enjoyed the songs from. I do not mean only the Communications songs, just the songs of that general period of time. The GHOST Golden Age in my opinion.)
